South Carolina GOP'er wants teachers to have machine guns.

Yeah, that'll work!

A state senator running against Lindsey Graham says that teachers should be allowed to carry machine guns in the classroom.

Oh my gosh, finally! Someone who makes Lindsey Graham look good.

South Carolina state Sen. Lee Bright (R), who is challenging Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) in the GOP primary, said on Friday that school teachers should be able to carry machine guns to protect students from gun violence.

A little tongue in cheek humor.
Hey, maybe we can shake loose some of that money used for war to assign ground crews to service those aircraft.

who is going to buy all these guns? School boards don't have enough teachers to go around and now they want to divert more money to turn schools into armed camps? What about learning? Are we giving any thought to that?

I find myself going to my mental happy place more and more often these days Fortunately, the radio station in my imagination is a big Mozart fan, so it's very relaxing.

He and the Tea Party want Graham's hide and they may get it. They have been after him for years and their hate has not subsided.

Bright's problem is that there are candidates who have strong RW conservative beliefs that don't include teachers with machine guns. Except for those hanging by their toes on the RW edge, that is a step too far. Guns might be okay, but machine guns are a little more than most can handle.
