REPORT ON THIS MSM!
It is confirmed today that it was Tea Party leader Michael Kobulnicky who was arrested Thursday in San Diego for the alleged brutal kidnapping and rape of a 56 year old woman.
According to East County Magazine, Michael John Kobulnicky is accused of offering a woman a ride on February 25, but instead of taking her home, he drove to secluded island, pulled the victim out of the vehicle, sexually assaulted her, and left her in the sand. San Diego Police Lt. Andra Brown said, He dragged her out of the car and sexually assaulted her pretty brutally.
Kobulnicky, the public relations director for the San Diego Tea Party, is also the former regional director of the Southern California Conservative Party.

Kobulnicky describes himself as, Michael is single and has five sons. He loves to read all different types of books, especially books relating to the Constitution and our Founding Fathers, among other types of interests. He is a Christian too.
Sure he is! Because that is what Jesus would do right, brutally rape women.

He will be going to state penn. and there he will be in danger. Child abuses and rapists are at the bottom of the prison food chain, and targeted often by prisoners.

You are beyond out of line here. The way we eliminate prison rape is by making it less acceptable to "accept" it as you do here. It is not funny, and it is not acceptable.

(1 post)Let us remember that in our country one is innocent until proven guilty. Mr. Kobulnickys' life has been ruined, he spent over a week in the San Diego jail, his wedding is on hold, he was fired from his job. Had it not been for the courage of the victim in publicly standing up to the San Diego DA and investigators Mr. Kobulnicky would be on his way to life in prison.
Now will all you who reveled in this mans' misery correct this thread and the estimated 100 other blogs and media sites which have effectively destroyed his reputation? Please spread the news report below from NBC San Diego.
Charges Dropped Against Michael Kobulnicky

Prosecutors have dropped charges against a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Fiesta Island.
Michael Kobulnicky, a former San Diego Tea Party spokesperson and Mormon Church leader, had faced charges of kidnapping and sexual assault for a sexual encounter that he said was consensual. Prosecutors dropped all charges Thursday morning.
Kobulnicky was emotional and cried when John Reis, a district attorney, announced that charges were dropped.
He spoke on Thursday after being released, but did not want to talk about the case.
"I just wanted to clear my name," he said.

Kobulnicky said he lost his job as a result of the incident, and had to cancel his wedding. He said both himself and his fiance "went through hell" during the ordeal.
"The police department went with the best information that we had and the forensic evidence and in a complete investigation we did the best job that we could, and that of course included the arrest of Mr. Kobulnicky," said San Diego Police Department spokesperson Lt. Andra Brown. "We don't understand why [the victim] changed her stories, but we do understand the district attorney's actions."
The victim of a recent sexual assault spoke in open court Monday claiming the police have arrested the wrong man.
At a pretrial hearing Monday, the alleged victim spoke in open court telling the judge that Kobulnicky was not the man who raped her.
Laura Chiles, who told NBCSanDiego to use her full name, told the judge, "This is the wrong man you people have."
"This man is not the man who attacked me," she said.

(69,059 posts)Case against ex-San Diego tea party figure dropped
Kidnapping and rape charges against a former San Diego County tea party spokesman were dismissed Thursday after a woman recanted her claims.
A judge acting on the request of prosecutors dropped four felony counts against Michael Kobulnicky, who had faced a possible life sentence if convicted.
"The district attorney's office is dedicated to the protection of the innocent as much as we are committed to holding criminals accountable for their crimes. When we receive new information that leads us to determine we can no longer prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt, we do the right thing and move quickly to dismiss the charges," District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis said in a statement.
Kobulnicky was freed after two weeks in jail. He wept at a news conference and said the allegations had cost him his job as a landscape supervisor with the San Diego Community College District and nearly derailed his April marriage. The nuptials have been pushed back to May.
