Bernie Sanders thinks Sunday shows are failing us

http://crooksandliars.com/2014/01/bernie-sanders-thinks-sunday-shows-are

##snip##

Bernie Sanders has noticed something very interesting: the Sunday shows seem to be ignoring one of the biggest--if not the biggest--problem we face: global climate change:

"A group of senators on Thursday sent a letter to network television executives asking why there has been “shockingly little discussion” about global warming on Sunday morning broadcast network news and interview programs. Sens. Bernie Sanders and Brian Schatz cited a new Media Matters for America study which found that only 27 minutes of air time was devoted to discussions about climate change during all of last year on Meet the Press, This Week, Face the Nation and Fox News Sunday – combined.[..] "

because we know what's on the horizon due to climate change.

Lots of suffering, lots of pain. Now that doesn't sell ads!

I've gotten tired of listening to R-W talking points over and over and over again.

There's no meaningful discussion taking place.

does he really think if there were discussions on these shows they would be honest. The deniers would out number and out shout anyone else in the discussion so little or nothing would be accomplished IMO.

If he hears back from any of these executives, he'll report it. Of course, it's not in the shows' advertisers interests to get down with global climate change, so it will prolly be a bunch of pap in response. We shall see.
