(7,410 posts)They used to charge you based on your rank. An E-4 might pay $10 and an O-5 might be $20-25 to play on the same course.

Military members work long, unpredictable hours, often away from their families. I don't see anything wrong with golf courses. Sorry, but this is a non issue.

It's revolting how "cutting the military," for corporatists, always translates into assaults on salaries, benefits, or quality of life of those who serve and drag their families all over the world. The Military Industrial Complex, the blood for profit, is always sacrosanct.
Corporate vultures *always* go after people first.

(58,662 posts)except for how many countries around the world we have a military presence in. Recreation for the troops is needed, if they're going to be there.
The other down side is the use of resources, which in arid areas can be considerable. Think about how many people struggle to find water to drink.
