Stepping aside the anti-obama faux media hype of selected quotes and a clearly cynical marketing ploy, it's actually quite a complementary book, as well as a pretty damning indictment on the Bush era view of the world.
Pres Obama's 'suspicion' and pushback of military top brass only enhances my view of him.
Of course it's also full of contracticions and claims that Gates goes on to walk back in various interviews.

(7,759 posts)read their bestsellers at the store while sipping make-believe Starbuck coffee. Hehe...the wealthy folks that live "on the other side of the tracks" are always in their reading shit for free...so ....I decided the price is right for me too. I get glares from the adults in there but the teens who come to work on projects are pretty neat. We have been discussing the ACA lately. Some have decided to sign up next time they can.
Off to the book store!!

I ordered the book, but have heard Gates in a lot of longer interviews and he seems to be talking about a different book than most of his critics are.
