I don't think that's the entire story with the M$M but it's certainly a factor, many Republicans are nuts and filled with evangelical fervor over sharing their mental condition with anyone remotely within earshot.

That and their maniacal belief they are in the majority...

we are supposed to become fanatics like them based on their dumb, stupid, ignorant and often full of lies rants. The part they do not understand is that not everyone is as ignorant or stupid as they are.

And, I have never been able to figure out how they think they are in the majority. I have come to the conclusion that, because they are bullies, and many people are too polite to respond to them in the same manner; they think they are winning the argument.

Appropriate with the gun, too. Just this morn another story on a guy, sitting next to his wife at a movie, who was shot dead by another movie patron, angry because he was asked to stop texting and became obnoxious. I was thinking how can a whole political party endorse letting these angry little asswipes go about armed?

Imagine what this country could be if they'd just grow up.

they hate the liberal media, yet believe everything they tell them

the liberal media also happens to have Republican talking heads on 24/7...and every sunday it's John McCain

I just don't how they convince themselves the media is liberal...

So, since the media has been focusing more on displaying gay people as the normal individuals they are, then the media is liberal.

They also equate loose sex and drugs/alcohol with "liberalism". Whenever a movie or TV show has these elements in it, they roll their eyes as they scream about the "liberal media". Any display of hedonistic vice (to their eyes) is equated with the media being liberal and displaying liberal values. You know, "liberal Hollywood". Hollywood is liberal on social issues, but rarely on economic ones.

I am often shocked how little so many conservatives care about economic issues. In particular, educating themselves on the legislation that gets passed (and blocked) on economic issues. Many have been conditioned to rarely question or pay attention to these issues by not coveting what others have. Unfortunately, this has allowed a massive redistribution of wealth and income in this country over the past 4 decades, and they are mostly clueless as to the causes of it.

They do seem to have woken up to the reality the middle and working classes are facing now that there's a black man in the White House, but they simply don't believe this has been going on since the early to mid 1970's. They will continue blaming the black man as the American way of life continues to slip away in future Administrations (unless this country begins electing progressive people to office).

To be sure, Obama has allowed and enabled wealth redistribution to continue its upward trajectory, but so have all Presidents to a large extent going back to Nixon.

of the typical Fox News / Right Wing Hate Radio listeners ability to twist their inner logic into such an Escher of a pretzel. They are able to Not eat their cake and still puke it out.

Yes they are able to use the term "liberal media" with "media" used in a very loose term to describe other shows outside of news programs like say the ground-breaking Will and Grace, that dared to make a gay man funny and charming and have supportive straight friends and roommates. And then they conflate their bigotry onto every show on that network including any news reporting done on it.

Here's the pretzel twist: Fox has some of the most outrageous decadent appalling anything-goes shows of all the networks. Hell it was The Simpsons, with the anti-authority, rude, Bart, that helped propel that network at the beginning. They've had The Swan, Who wants to marry a millionaire, and now they have Dads. And I've missed many.

But wingnut viewers, who would most likely describe themselves as good Christian anti-gay anti-drugs anti-infidelity etc., have the uncanny ability to separate what they watch on Fox networks outside of the news and the news itself. That they cannot trust any of those other networks for their news because they show those immoral liberal shows as well. But somehow Fox News is inoculated from any other shows that Fox is responsible for.

Faux is draped in HD flag waving red white and blue yet owned by an Australian and a Saudi prince. The irony just abounds...like all things republican. At this point the country has a very serious mental disease...brought on mainly by Faux. Psychologists would do well to categorize it and give it a name. It is definitely reminiscent of what happened in nazi germany. The wool has been pulled over the eyes of a large percentage of the US population and those inflicted haven't got a clue that it has even taken place. Rather, they are completely fervently enraptured in the midst of the decade old phenomenon.
