but i didn't spend much time on Princeville or North Shore side....Mostly was in Wailua, Poipu, and Lihue areas...

I feel terribly uncomfortable at what's happened to the people that have brought stuff in to pawn. JMO

famous Casino in Monaco (home of some of the highest rollers in the world) the top of the line jewelry makers have shops in the ground floor. These are not only to allow the very well to do an opportunity to splurge on some little few-thousand dollar bauble but, more importantly they also function as pawnbrokers to the hoi polloi who have had a bad night at the roulette wheel. Drop your Cartier necklace or Rolex watch off and receive some badly needed cash. Fascinating.
