Pakistan Says US Drone Attacks Violate Its Sovereignty

(RTTNews) - Pakistan said on Friday that U.S. drone strikes amounted to violation of the country's sovereignty and undermined efforts to combat militancy and terrorism.

Responding to repeated questions on drone attacks‚ Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit said at a weekly news briefing in Islamabad that there was no question that they amounted to the violation of Pakistan's sovereignty.

"Pakistan has been using all diplomatic channels to bring an end to the strikes that are damaging our efforts against militancy and terrorism. Voices are also being raised in the West against these illegal drone strike," he said.

Basit said Pakistan was taking the issue "forcefully" with the United States and hoped that the U.S. would revisit its policy toward that end. "It is high time that the illegal use of drone attacks are stopped."

Life is so much easier without that quaint old document constraining the exceptional exceptionalness of our great and glorious country. I'm almost there. I've almost trimmed my ideals to fit the fashion like all the good, sensible Democrats already have.

It is an act of war and terror. If any country tried to do it to the U.S., they would get invaded. Of course, most Americans thinks their country can do whatever the hell it wants with no consequences and then they wonder why the rest of the world hates them. I'll tell you this it isn't for our supposed "freedom."
