Sorry Republicans, the “Sissy Liberals” Were Right About Iraq All Along

http://www.occupydemocrats.com/sorry-republicans-the-sissy-liberals-were-right-about-iraq-all-along/

Post-9/11 Republicans seem to have real chip on their shoulder. In the events after the greatest attack on American soil, Republicans turned a new leaf and changed their ideology from 1980s Reaganomics of the 90s (although they’re coming back to that) to if you go against what I want, you’re un-American. The conservative ideology is as followed: do what I say no matter how ridiculous, believe what I believe no matter how offensive, and if you disagree with me that means you hate America and want the Taliban to win.

So when the Republicans lied the Democrats into signing on with the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan under false pretenses, they did so with two missions which were occupation, and oil. However, Republicans ran on a pro-American, pro-veteran standpoint in order to gain support from the vulnerable American public who were shell-shocked in post 9-11 America. And if any liberal, or any rational thinking person for that matter dared to speak out against the war (can you say Dixie Chicks?), the hawkish conservative movement would denounce you as a traitor to your country, much like they did to the soldiers in Vietnam. But at the time, unlike Iraq, Americans came to realize that war in Vietnam was the worst militaristic occupation in American history. According to the Gallup Polling Center, in March 2003 when the War in Iraq commenced, 75% of Americans thought it was the right thing for the U.S. to do while only 23% took the opposite view. By March 2013, 10 years after conflict started, and two years after it had ended, 53% of Americans said it was the wrong thing to have done, and 42% said it was the right thing to have done.

In March 2003, when asked if they thought the USA could win in their mission, 69% of Americans were certain we would win. In November 2007, that number plummeted to a mere 19%. About 50% of Americans lost faith that we could win this war.

So I guess you could say the liberals weren’t the crazy, conspiracy theory throwing sissies the conservatives painted us to be for so many years. You see, here is the difference between the liberal and the conservative: the liberal is patriotic, but they are realists. If something is bad, we can smell it a mile away. The conservative on the other hand is just patriotic (or so they say). Even if all the evidence points in the opposite direction, they will hound you as being a “liberal.” That’s their evil word, apparently. One ideology supports our country’s efforts only when we know we must be realistic. The other supports our countries efforts even when it turns out to be a big flop which cost us $4-6 trillion dollars and killed over 4,000 American troops. They’ll drape themselves in the flag and hope for the best.

It was Ann Coulter, famous Iraq War supporter and Muslim hater who said “the Democrats slogan during the Bush years was: “Dissent is patriotic!”” According to polls conducted over ten years (what’s known as longitudinal study), dissent turns out to be patriotic. What do you know, the “liberal sissies” were right all along.

while at the same time try to bring America to her knees.

Not only do they attempt a default on our debts that would bring catastophic chaos to this countrys economy. They push for more boots on the ground.

They sure are the "patriotic " ones, treestar.

Just like those democrats now that are trying to undercut the President and negotiations with Iran.

Difference is it won't work this time.

Those democrats knew there were not WMDs. There were enough Democrats who voted against the IWR. That along with Wilson's warnings, and others, the ones voting for this were willing accomplices

We have an enemy of the state within our country that's a malignant cancerous growth on America and it's only getting more deadly.

Our only hope is to cut it out and keep it at bay so We The People can have the country we believe in without it being taken over by Psychopathic Bullies.
