Social scientists find many questions about values and lifestyle that have no obvious connection to politics can be used to predict a persons ideology. Even a decision as trivial as which browser youre using to read this article is imbued with clues about your personality. Are you on a Mac or PC? Did you use the default program that came with the computer or install a new one?
In the following interactive, we put together 12 questions that have a statistical correlation to a persons political leanings, even if the questions themselves are seemingly apolitical. At the end of this (completely anonymous) quiz, well use your responses to guess your politics.

Mine showed 97% Liberal and 3% Conservative . . . but that was only because I obsess over marking moderately agree/disagree or strongly agree/disagree because I don't want to be untruthful, so that probably cancels out the 3% conservative.

That's the fallacy with something like this - it assumes we all think alike.

(3,222 posts)I attribute my score to the impact of schooling by nuns and Jesuits. It imbued a strong social consciousness along side a too well developed respect for authority.

Some of the reasoning borders on silliness and seems terribly policy agnostic in coming to conclusions.

Anyway, I guess that makes us the most liberal here!
