When are we going to hear Bridget Kelley's side of the story?

If she was fired without even getting a chance to talk to Christie, I would think she'd be a loose cannon. I'd sure want to hang someone who was tarring my reputation so callously to save himself.

Of course he probably did talk to her and made some kind of Devil's pact that will keep her mouth shut. All we'll probably hear is her taking the fifth but her career and reputation are smashed unless she can bring in some daylight and make media hay out of it.

I suspect she doesn't like being thrown under the bus. Whether Christie himself was involved or not, no one believes she acted on her own authority. Someone with higher authority was involved.

If they were and she ever faces any kind of criminal charges or even civil claims I would expect her to sing like a canary once she has negotiated a plea deal or complete immunity from prosecution.

I am still curious why neither she nor her partner in crime not deleted these emails.

I constantly delete emails in my overflowing inbox..

i.e. the ones "time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee" and "Got it" were on their personal e-mail accounts (e.g. gmail, yahoo, etc.) and not government or official systems.

That said we know that the NSA has copies of those e-mails and their providers will have copies of those e-mails going back some extended period of time even if they deleted their own copies in their own accounts.

The fact they used personal e-mail accounts underscores the fact they knew they were doing something "unofficial". I hope they weren't stupid enough to think that by using personal e-mail accounts they could move undetected or would not be discovered. If so then they are indeed dumb and probably not competent for the jobs they held.

If they had problems with a server and lost some clients emails they would have to restore them from a backup. It seems just about any mail would be backed up somewhere unless you are running your own, local email server.

His statements about not talking to her seemed very suspicious to me. It seemed like the sort of thing where he already knew what she had to say, but (as he is a lawyer and former prosecutor) he wanted to be sure that he could say, later if deposed, that he did not talk to her. He knows what she has to say is explosive and he wants to make sure that when people ask, "What did he know and when did he know it", he will be able to say, I was out of the loop. His not talking to her is a suspiciously intentional act.

Her silence about Christie's role will make her far wealthier than coming clean ever would.

She will claim the 5th. Anyone they now call before the committee will claim the 5th because they will all assume that anything they reveal in testimony WILL be used against them. The U.S. Attorney will certainly watch all of the testimony very carefully and will use it with a grand jury if it suggests criminal activity.

But as I posted above she will likely negotiate either a plea deal or complete immunity in exchange for ratting out whoever above and around her that were involved.

keeps her mouth shut she'll be rewarded with a lucrative job somewhere else once this blows over. It won't be the Christie folks helping her out it will be the party. That is, after they decide whether to help Christie or feed him to the wolves. If she faces criminal charges she may sing against the wishes of the party, but that's unlikely. They will promise her a wonderful attorney and all the help she needs. Of course, the party may decide to throw her under the bus and back Christie, but I don't know if that will be the case here. They already know Christie has some serious dirty laundry. They've known that since Romney tried to vet him.
