The short-term memory of the collective masses is poor. I don't think it'll derail his ambition.

cronies who would abuse the office and snicker at harming NJ's people. That's the climate he created, that's his management style. He's toast. Repubs and media will keep him going for a while, but no one wants him near the nuke button.

I doubt a scandal will change his ambition.

His Presidential chances were already slim since the main stream GOP doesn't like him and there are already 10+ other GOP camps that think they deserve the oval office. The scandal gives the other chumps more ammunition against the NJ Blowhard.

Straight-shooting, decisive, in-charge leader just took a big hit. Democrats can have a field day with that but I think the Teabaggers will kneecap him first. Big corrupt government guy (who also sucked up to Obama!).

As far as I can tell, they are essentially the same in terms of major policy. The only difference is on social issues which serve to distract the masses from the things that really matter to the billionaires that control everything and subsequently want a big bank, corporation, and wall street friendly president.

Any cred he lost with the far right by "being Obama's pal" after Sandy will be rebuilt & then some by his connection to this.

He is toast. He might hold on to his governorship for the next 4 years But presidential material he showed he can't control his staff and he set the political tone in his office. I bet someone will crack and admit he ok'ed it.

Humpty dumpy fell of the wall and his people won't beable to put the pieces back together.

Rick Scott was elected governor in spite of having been proven a thief and a liar on a large scale after plundering Medicaid for Million$$. He only walked away because Jeb was governor.

But ... there are more independents and Dems proportionately in the US than in Florida so I think his aspirations for any national office have had the wind taken out of their sales measurably.

Now this doesn't mean he won't be able to find something lucrative on K Street.

This is the very type of behavior that most Republicans dream of and want to emulate.

Why, that 91 year old woman who may have died because of all of this? I'm sure she was going to die anyway, right???!! (Sarcasm of course).

When someone makes a statement to me that politicians on both sides of the aisle are dirty, etc., THIS is why I believe the Republicans are far worse than Democrats. Republicans are very interested in punishing anyone who dares to disagree with them.
