and nobody has asked him if he looked into the report that the GWB was closed because of a traffic study and did he find out what the traffic study was and if there are any reports of results of this traffic study.
There are a lot of questions that are going un-asked. I'd like to hear his answers on these.
Must keep the antiseptic of daylight on this simple bully.

(11,175 posts)Fort Lee officials are used to dealing with the Port Authority, which operates the bridge. When this happened, they were relentlessly calling their contacts at the Port Authority -- multiple people that they were used to dealing with, people for whom they had office numbers and cell phone numbers. It might not have occurred to them, especially at first, to call Christie's office. After all, he doesn't have the authority to reconfigure the GWB traffic.
Of course, that only points to another possible smoking gun. Some lower-level Port Authority employees, who would normally have dealt with their Fort Lee counterparts about some issue that arose, suddenly went silent. There must have been orders to that effect from above. Let Weinstein and Baroni be asked whether they gave or knew of such orders. Then subpoena the low-level Port Authority employees, immunize them, and ask them why they didn't return any of the calls.
