Yoda looks like a pomeranian or perhaps pom/chihuahua mix who was born with deformities.

My Shrimpy is a pom, she's in my sig pic...she only weighs 5 pounds.

My girl is some kind of herding dog, BC Mix or Aussie Mix, the debate on that hasn't been resolved. Furry, fast, and full of love

They appear to be well-represented in the 'ugly' category.

When I was a kid, I had a pair of brown shoes. I didn't like the color, so I tried applying black shoe polish to them. The result was really ugly. But the more I looked at them, the more I warmed up to my 'ugly' shoes. Those f'd up shoes became my favorites. They were so ugly, they were beautiful to me. Go figure...

And those were inanimate objects. A living thing, no matter how 'ugly' it may appear to us, is beautiful in its own right.

I can laugh at those champion 'ugly' dogs. But if he or she were mine, that dog would be a loved and prized companion.

If you ever get a chance to go to that 'competition' - take it.

Lot of wonderful people who take joy in their dogs.
