Ron Paul adviser: 'Of course' we'd trade our delegates to Mitt Romney for putting Rand on the ticket
byJed Lewison

TIME:
The Texas Representative might also be enticed, says campaign chairman Jesse Benton, by the prospect of serving as a presidential adviser, a Cabinet position for someone in his orbit or “perhaps a vice presidency.”
Not for himself, but rather his son. Rand Paul, the junior senator from Kentucky and a Tea Party icon, is expected to launch his own White House bid in 2016. Being on the ticket now – or even being mentioned for it – would be a helpful step. Says one Paul adviser: “If you’re talking about putting Rand on the ticket, of course that would be worth delivering our people to Romney.”

As grand as his reputation is for being single-minded and resolute in his views, he'll enthusiastically sell out his principles for self-interest...

How many threads do you start in one day?! Do you have a job? If so, pray tell me what it is. I am sitting here not getting paid to post and you are all over this board like a cheap suit.

However my take from your cynical post is as a possible sign that you are getting paid, sent here to disrupt.

10. A pointlessly unfriendly post for one so new DU. Really what do you care who posts how often?

You are peculiar in your questioning. It has nothing to do with the content of the post.

Perhaps you have an opinion on that?

Long for somebody who drags the ticket down like Palin? Or long for somebody as suited to the position as she was?

From the Republican perspective, just about anybody would be a step up from Palin. They aren't going to make that mistake again.

suckers out there that might actually take him seriously.

Like Michael Moore said last night, Obama won with a total of 53% the first time around. Do you think that perhaps 3% of that original 53% might feel unsatisfied in one way or another? That would be all it would take to tip the scales.

Yes, I know it isn't and is probably played out by both parties, however how this isn't illegal is beyond me.

I'm open to understanding why it should be...

16. Well, now we know how ideological Paul really is. (hint: he's not)

Ron Paul has the most ideological base of supporters in this GOP primary. I find it ironic that Paul is willing to sell his son to the highest bidder and completely sell out his supporters. It's not money -- it's his own son.

I believe Paul would do this. Not for his son but for the connections his son would make to further his father's monetary and political wealth.
