Sandra Fluke and Republican hatred

I don't usually do this, but I would like to call on you good DU folks to help me out here with a "friend" of mine, because I am so angry right now that my eloquence is failing me badly. I posted the recently trending picture/quote of Tina Fey on my Facebook account, and he responded with this:

I'm sorry Tina, please explain how the violent and brutal murder of future women is essential to women's health? But, if that's your argument, I'm sure we could all pitch in a couple bucks to buy Sandra Fluke a small gun and a bullet so she won't be forced to purchase her own contraception.

I'd like anyone who is so inclined to head over to my Facebook page and explain to my "friend" what is wrong with his "logic."

Get a new 'friend.' I don't do Facebook, but if I did, I would have no problem de-friending even a family member who posted shite like that.

And yes, what the "friend" wrote makes no sense.
Why not just delete the comment?

Fluke a "slut" and "prostitute" after I posted an anti-Rush article. I explained EVERYTHING that Rush said. I also explained that Fluke should be at liberty to say whatever she wants without being maligned as she was on AM radio. No more talk from the Rush listener, in fact, I got no more political posts by her. But I got a lot of "likes" from people who I thought were dormant.

Let the hater talk. Give it a day. Then tell the hater that Fluke should have the liberty and freedom to discuss women's health. Repugs HATE when Liberals own the words "liberty" and "freedom".

> Repugs HATE when Liberals own the words "liberty" and "freedom".

The ironic thing is that Liberals actually DO own those words. If it was up to conservatives, we would all be living in a "benevolent" aristocracy ruled over by billionaires, religious grifters, and "blue bloods". We would have no liberty at all, except for the "liberty" to do whatever our overlords ordered us to. Conservatives have always been authoritarians, needing somebody to tell them what to do. That fact has been studied over & over by psychologists.

turning Repug talking points on their head earlier. "Conservatives have always been authoritarians, needing somebody to tell them what to do" they don't know how to respond. Mostly, they just throw a tantrum. I feel a bit guilty being so amused by a Repug melt-down.

I can't for the life of me fathom where they came up with that idea.. I see posts all the time talking about how women just want FREE contraception.. there is nothing FREE about insurance.. If your employer provides it is in lui of wages, ie. your money that pays, or if not then you have to purchase the insurance yourself. But in any case it certainly is not FREE, nor do any Republicans have to pay for it PERIOD.....

That's where they get the idea. He told them Sandra Fluke wanted the taxpayers to pay for her contraception, so that's what they believe. It doesn't matter what she really said, or what the reality of the situation is.

Funny thing is, I don't hear them calling women in the military, or the wives and daughters of the men in the military, prostitutes and sluts. Taxpayers actually DO pay for their contraception, don't we? I haven't heard them complaining about that.

a child - especially a special needs child/children. You will stand ready with baby gifts for each and every child that joins her famly and hope that she will be fruitful and multiply. That ought to do it. (Sarcasm alert) If she is past the child bearing years, she can still adopt and should be asked to explain why she has the number of children she has if it does not exceed two, or three, or five or seven.
