pro Limbaugh petition picking up votes (action needed)

As you may already know, the petition calling for Limbaugh to be kicked off AFN (American Forces Network) has already met the threshold of 25,000 signatures.

However, the petition to keep him on AFN is also picking up votes and will likely meet the threshold of 25,000 by April 10th, when it is due. If the threshold is met, the two petitions will effectively cancel each other, leaving things as they are, meaning Limbaugh will stay on the air.

There is a second petition calling for the FCC to investigate his on-air comments, I recommend signing the second petition so he can be investigated by the FCC. If there is probable cause, his broadcaster license could be suspended on yanked.

Links to both petitions below, if you haven't signed either or both, please do so.

2. FCC, investigate his comments petition - http://wh.gov/9XY

Please act !

Although the threshold is met, it'd send an even bolder message that it's imperative to remove that bilious gasbag from the airwaves.

monopoly over the AM radio spectrum hurt? It can't hurt Liberals anymore than Limbaugh, Faux News, Ann Coulter (must I go on) have already hurt us. What names haven't they called us yet?

I'm sure you realize that already, but getting 25,000 signatures on an online petition isn't all that difficult, really. How many of those have resulted in any action?

but I like to go on record in support or opposition - as the case may be - of specific government policies.

However, more is generally accomplished with direct written communications with legislators and other elected officials. Petitions are easily ignored.

and depending upon the legislator in question, it may generate nothing more than a robo-generated letter that only peripherally addresses the issue at hand.
