The article strikes me as being one-sided, xenophobic, anti-muslim propaganda. (Americans care about people dying - Afghans not so much)...
Headline: In Reactions to Two Incidents, a U.S.-Afghan Disconnect
KABUL, Afghanistan The mullah was astounded and a little angered to be asked why the accidental burning of Korans last month could provoke violence nationwide, while an intentional mass murder that included nine children last Sunday did not.
How can you compare the dishonoring of the Holy Koran with the martyrdom of innocent civilians? said an incredulous Mullah Khaliq Dad, a member of the council of religious leaders who investigated the Koran burnings. The whole goal of our life is religion.

(27,461 posts)atrocious article, total propaganda, everything you say.
Ive seen proof with my own eyes that those mullahs and that reporter are full of shit. I see the relatives wailing in agony over the deaths.
And by the way, we have our own share of leaders in our country who dont give a fuck about human life, it has nothing to do with Afghan values vs. American values, its just there are some shitty people everywhere.

(4,111 posts)and I love the way the "reporter" ends the piece - a quote about how the Taliban never apologizes for the deaths they cause. So, wow fellow-Americans - we're better than the Taliban - whoohoooo!!!!!
There is universal outrage about the murders.
