Just had a telephone poll call me.

One of the questions was "What do I think of Rick Perry" on a scale of 0 to 10. I said -500. The guy laughed and said that was the response from pretty much everyone.
Gave him the same answer on the Tea Party members of Congress.

i did 1. it was so poorly written, the poor girl had a hard time reading the twisting to confuse. i gave far left answers and the pollster is usually NOT a rightard, the girl was so not on the side of the poll.

I said that the only issue I had with Republicans was that they weren't being hung fast enough.

If they ask me who I'm going to vote for, I ask,

"Just who are you and who are you with?"

If they say they're calling for a Democrat, I warm up and tell them,

"Yes, I will vote for them, and thanks for your good work."

At this point, the GOP is using robocalls. No doubt they can't hire anyone willing to take the abuse in person.

Truly, I do feel badly for telemarketers and don't give them a hard time if I get caught by one.

But I have caller ID an usually don't answer anything I don't know. Also, I keep the ringer off but I can see a light.

I appreciate your being kind to them also. I have never had to do a job like that, and I feel bad for them generally.

They sound like very young people to me and one young kid kept thanking me, said most people hung up on him.

I'm actually pleased when they ask my opinion, since it often seems to me they usually end up with results favoring the other side. And this chatty kid was more than happy to fill me in on the new candidate I didn't know about, who became my Democratic congresswoman, in an upset, and is now my senator.
