From The Telegraph:
So just how gay-friendly is Pope Francis? Consider this.
In his Christmas sermon, Bishop Charles Scicluna of Malta condemned adoption by same-sex couples. He insisted that God's own son was raised by a man and a woman, and not by two men or two women.
How divisive! said the media. But now it turns out that Bishop Scicluna met Pope Francis on December 12. The bishop later told the Times of Malta: We discussed many aspects and when I raised the issue thats worrying me as a bishop [the right for gay couples to adopt] he encouraged me to speak out."
Indeed, the Pope was "shocked" to learn that Malta's proposed Civil Union bill allows gay adoption. And Bishop's Scicluna's controversial sermon seems to have been delivered at his prompting.
The less harsh public tone on LGBT people seems to be more about the public face of the church than anything else. Read more here: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/damianthompson/100252140/pope-francis-shocked-by-gay-adoption-will-time-take-back-its-person-of-the-year-award/

Are you asserting that Francis has amended this part of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith? If so, you are mistaken.

(20,136 posts)He thinks adoption by gay couples is child abuse. Therefore, I trust this "hearsay" because he has already stated the same thing publicly.

Faith and the family
52. In Abrahams journey towards the future city, the Letter to the Hebrews mentions the blessing which was passed on from fathers to sons (cf. Heb 11:20-21). The first setting in which faith enlightens the human city is the family. I think first and foremost of the stable union of man and woman in marriage. This union is born of their love, as a sign and presence of Gods own love, and of the acknowledgment and acceptance of the goodness of sexual differentiation, whereby spouses can become one flesh (cf. Gen 2:24)

What is marriage? It is a true and authentic vocation, as are the priesthood and the religious life. Two Christians who marry have recognized the call of the Lord in their own love story, the vocation to form one flesh and one life from two, male and female. And the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony envelops this love in the grace of God, it roots it in God himself. By this gift, and by the certainty of this call, you can continue on assured; you have nothing to fear; you can face everything together!

Do you really expect all of these promulgations to be overturned in a flash?
