The Conservatives, yet again, don't get it!

Last edited Sat Dec 28, 2013, 06:56 PM - Edit history (1)

We all know that Conservatives, especially Tea Baggers, have as much brain matter as a Duck Call. But their dumbness about the job market is deplorable, even for their low I.Q. level!

The job's are getting replaced by machines. We even have machines to make those machines. Prices are going up faster than the rate of pay. Population keeps going up due to many factors, one of which is the foolish idea NOT to teach preteens about birth control and the silly idea that a business can just not have birth control, because "It is against our religion", that hurts their low paid as is works by not giving then access to it. Add to that the price of the medication that works the best out of "Out of pocket" reach! And this is not even the tip of the iceberg to all they have been doing to us!

Yet when you want to push for more Unions or just whisper to raise the minimum wage, even to teach their kids about safe sex in schools ( since they can't understand the concept themselves),these Neanderthals scream bloody murder about hurting the Companies. The same Companies that will not pay a living wage, that price even the necessities of life to silly heights!

This madness that they spew must not be allowed to keep going. We must keep fighting for a LIVING Wage (even Henry Ford said he believe in paying his people enough so they can afford to buy a car) and for across the board price controls.

The small light in this cutting of long term unemployment is that maybe enough of those numbskull's that preach that Conservative swill will get hurt enough to finally see the truth. To finally see that the old conservative ways will be the end to this country.

They would rather die than see a poor man catch a break.

They have got to see the light some how and if this nastiness will wake them up...

Rats! I can't find a pic with the actresses from the movie with Regan and the two Bushes face photoshopped in! Darn, it would so fit this post!

There has long been an argument that technology erases some jobs and creates others, but it is clear that the number being 'made' aren't of the kind and quality of those being eliminated. A Living Wage, while a noble thought, is only sufficient for those who are actually working, and we're rapidly approaching a day where that will be physically impossible to make for every person who wants to work, let alone those whose work is necessary for society yet undervalued by the organs that pay wages (hello, mothers and fathers, poets, artists, and philosophers...among others).

We need more. Post-scarcity - an eventuality, not a possibility - demands we be prepared or the human cost will make some wars seem like a mild-mannered episode of Triage.

But it is a start. But we need a start and then a snowball of the so many other things we need.

They've been indoctrinated to believe that getting shafted by power is their god-given duty.
