Sad day

Today is a sad day in our history. Over 1.3 million people have lost their jobless benefits through the fault of the Tea Party, and not themselves. These Tea Partiers are some of the most extreme, dangerous people on the planet right now. I fear what they have in store in the years ahead.

My husband was in this position awhile back. And it certainly hurt. He's retired now, but feels for these folks that are now in the same boat. Damn tea party!

What kind of people would take away the aid given to those who need it the most? It makes me so angry that they'd do this.

under this article in our local paper. They're trying to convince everyone that it's the Democrats' fault that jobs bills haven't passed. I give up.

You know the drill--all you have to do to get these bums out and make Congress fully blue again is show up to the polls in November 2014. Voting is free and easy (at least in states without suppression laws). As citizens, we are the ones who shape the government; the government is us. Give Obama a majority in the House and a super-majority in the Senate so that he can finally govern and not have to deal with hostage-takers who could care less about the working class.

If you don't know yet--it's not anyone else's fault.

But for argument's sake....even if "ALL" that was accomplished was immigration reform, filling judicial vacancies, and providing some basic needed fixes to ACA law, it would be more than worth our efforts.
