I'm going to see if they can get this on the high-def flat screen at the family gathering for Christmas.

showed her pictures of all of her relatives who had already passed away.

As I was putting her to bed she looked up at me and said "Dad can we ask God for an exception for our family so none of us have to die?".

Well that just squeezes the life out of you when you have to tell your child that there aren't going to be any exceptions and Kurvoski if I couldn't get any exemptions passed for her I am afraid I can't do it for you either!

Although Eleanor of Aquitaine and King Henry do have an immortality of sorts.

This cheerful message brought to you by the Buddha

All things are impermanent,
They arise and pass away.
Having arisen they come to an end,
Their coming to peace is bliss.

Of course that also means that it will all collapse and be regenerated again.

Which brings us to this ironic possibility:

What if in the succession of big bangs we are now in the 8,929,420 itineration and that if you could get a poll from all of the sentient beings from all of those cycles it was the unanimous choice that among all of the worlds in all of the galaxies in all of the universes in all of the epochs the one you presented in the video was unanimously considered to be the most hospitable and the most beautiful and that its inhabitants were also in turn found to be the most ungrateful for having such a beautiful home and then not taking care of it.

Hell we can't even get 5 lousy recs for this beautiful snapshot of good ole Mother Earth on Christmas Day, lol

"Mother Earth is one sex-say biotch", there'd be more traffic?

Some provocative marketing along the lines of a "Duck Dynasty" new season roll-out might do the trick.

But this time start with a new OP so that we have a new 24 hours period.

BTW I thought that this was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen at DU.
