What is your philanthropic dream?
Mine is to start a clinic for teenage moms and moms to be, not like the anti-choice ones, but instead one that focuses on things like telling them that they are smart and capable and can be great moms, and then giving them all the tools they need to help them succeed. Free prenatal care, free child care, free baby supplies, free transportation to school or work, free help with resumes and job hunting, and of course mentoring by awesome strong women who were teen moms themselves.
I have taken care of so many teen moms over the years, and I really do believe that a huge part in helping make a teen mom a great mom is by supporting her and by telling her she CAN be great. That just because she has become a mom at a young age, doesn't mean she can't be a great mom. Give her the support she needs, be her biggest cheerleader, and give her a hand up so that she can grow into a successful young woman.
That is my dream.
