(2,679 posts)My husband (who doesn't generally like news hosts) loved him and also misses him. Actually he was busy that week that Martin said what we all wished we could say.
He works for the DoD and while we live in Fl we works in Mississippi right now and he is home on holiday right now and he asks "Where is Ed!?" I said "your in different time zone its 5pm here not 4pm." He was like "Oh yeah I forgot, but hey where is Martin?" I told him what happened and without any suggesting or anything he makes the connection concerning hypocrisy and palin, His comment was something to the effect of "and so she gets one of the best progressive reporters to quit over the same type of thing she is supporting with the duck bread men jerks?" I said yep better much.
For the record while my husband votes dem usually he is pretty typical retired navy guy. He loves the Ed show, but I was worried about him about 10 years ago as he mentioned Glenn Beck and how he was starting to like him. Beck was still on cnn at the time. I told him beck is asshole and to not be fooled by what you see on cnn its an act he is really a loon. Not long after that my hubby says I was right and he has never taken anything that turd says seriously since. Actually he was shocked he fell for the beck trap to begin with. I explained that is exactly how the baggers sometimes appear to have lots of followers. They are experts at selling snake oil.
