Cat took her out big time. Latched onto her face and just wailed on her. Hilarious!

(68,644 posts)And upon a second viewing, it's clear that the dog is safely behind her and she just wouldn't stop, she just had to keep kicking that snow.
Go cat!

(72,300 posts)The attack was caught on tape by the woman's security camera. As the woman kicks snow at the cat to keep it away from her dog, it lunges and begins scratching and biting her face. According to Fox 2 News, the woman had to be hospitalized after the cat bit her forehead and she contracted cellulitis, and infection caused by bacteria.
The woman took in the cat she called Buddy over the summer. After the attack Sanilac County officials picked Buddy up to test him for rabies. To do so the cat had to be put down. Those tests came back negative.
IMO: The cat didn't have to be put down.
I kept a ferrel cat that bit me. In a matter of days we knew there was nothing wrong with my Charlie.

(14,537 posts)the last laugh, the cat was put down to be tested for rabies.
She claims it was a stray she started feeding when it became aggressive towards her dog. She shoed it out of the yard (see vid on how she did that). When it decided to give as good as it got.
I guess picking the dog up and bringing it inside for protection was just, so, I don't know? complicated?

(1,588 posts)They should have waited, monitored the woman for symptoms. Then if she developed rabies, they could put them both down at the same time.

(14,537 posts)can't test for rabies on a live animal. Their brain has to be dissected.

Edited to read that they put the cat down. Stupid woman. It was her fault. Maybe next time she won't kick snow in a cat's face.

(1,945 posts)Buddy had to pay with his life. The woman deserved what she got and I admit I was really laughing at the video. Then when I read the comment "She should have used the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch" I laughed so hard I couldn't catch my breath. My husband came into the room to see what was wrong, and one of the dogs was looking at me like 'what the heck??'
