PHOENIX Apparently, a Phoenix woman is focusing too much on the messaging of Christmas versus the message of Christmas.
A Salvation Army bell ringer says she was hit by the unidentified Grinch because the suspect became upset when she was greeted with a "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas!"
ABC15.com reports volunteer Kristina Vindiola was hit while working outside a local Walmart.
Vindiola says at first she thought the woman was going to give her a donation, but instead she gave her a punch in the arm, "She came up to me and said, 'Do you believe in God?' And she says, You're supposed to say Merry Christmas,' and that's when she hit me."

Vindiola went inside the store and told a store manager what happened. He then called police, but after viewing the store's surveillance video investigators were unable to find enough evidence to make an arrest.
