Rep. Rohrabacher Left California Home A Grimy Mess (PHOTOS)
Rep. Steve Stockman's gross campaign office may turn out to just be the first in a series.
The OC Weekly on Thursday published a report on the "horrific pigsty" that Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) left behind in a Costa Mesa, Calif. home he lived in from 2010 to 2012. And there are photographs.
According to the newspaper, Rohrabacher moved into the four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 6,300-square-foot home on April Fool's Day 2010. Rent was $3,350 a month. The carpets were new, and the backyard featured "thriving" flowers, plants, and grass. But when homeowner Robert Polyniak's longtime girlfriend, Darlene Whitsell, entered the home shortly after the Rohrabachers left the property, things looked different.
"It was disgusting," Whitsell told the OC Weekly. "It was unbelievable. Who lives like that?"

(10,175 posts)Rohrabacher's attorney, according to the OC Weekly, filed a $20,000 lawsuit against Polyniak, the owner of the rental property, for failing to refund his client's $6700 security deposit "in a timely manner" and has sent more than 50 hostile letters to Ployniak.
As if that was not enough, now Rohrabacher is also threatening to implore his close friend District Attorney Tony Rackauckas to open a criminal probe into Polyniak despite the obvious conflict of interest and the egregious abuse of power notwithstanding.
In other words, Rohrabacher expects Rackauckas to essentially sacrifice his own career to advance [Rohrabacher's] own personal revenge against the home owner. With friends like that who needs enemies!
I'd be remiss if I did not mention that during this time, Rohrabacher also purchased a million dollar home in another area of Costa Mesa.
Rohrabacher trashed the rental house the same way he and his Republican compadres have been trashing the country. He refuses to honour his financial obligations just like he and his Republican cohorts refuse to do on a national scale. He throws around his political heft by using the same intimidation tactics and threats that he and his Republican allies use. And "friendships" are nothing more than tools with an expiration date & are easily discarded.
In short Rohrabacher is a metaphor for all what ails the Republican Party & synonymous with its abusive nature and low standards of accountability among other negative traits that define the Republican Party today.
