Yes, Palin essentially torpedoed McCain's shot, but I feel no need to dissect the campaign. That was four years ago, and it was dissected to death then. No need to now.

the movie will keep Palin in the woods of Alaska instead of down here trying to run for another office or raise money.

She had her shot in '08 and blew it. She is toxic waste, at least politically speaking. The 'Pugs aren't going to fill her campaign war chest, ever. She even recognizes it, which is why she didn't run for anything in '10 or this year. Sure, she's still playing to her diminishing pool of fans, and she can probably manage to keep her Fox news gig for at least another couple of years. But her political career is over.

My wife, who has no interest in politics, stayed up to watch after seeing only the first 15 minutes.
