If the metadata collection is stopped -and I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of that, now- it's discontinuation will be responsible for exactly nothing.

So, this actually had nothing to do with keeping Americans safe after 911. It was totally and solely, something that Bush wanted to do. Power corrupts. And now Obama is corrupted by it. And, if he wasn't, then the NSA is now running our government.

The Patiot Act, or so I've heard, was already written up and ready to be signed into law, before 911. 911 just provided the excuse.
