how black people were happy and better off before civil rights.

also this guy was born in the 1940s, he was in his 20s during the civil rights movement.

i find it harder to forgive or excuse these people as time goes by. these aren't strom thurmond or robert byrds who were grew up in times when this was acceptable including when they were adults. even with them it's not a total excuse. but at least there is some context there.
