Viagra and "Spilled Sperm" Laws Sweep States

Ohio legislator Nina Turner has become the latest in a series of female state legislators to give her male colleagues a taste of their own medicine by introducing a bill that limits men's ability to get a Viagra prescription without meeting certain government conditions. . .

Specifically, Turner's bill would require men to receive psychological counseling to verify that they have a medical reason for taking erectile dysfunction medications, such as Viagra, before they can legally obtain a prescription for it. It would also require doctors to inform men, in writing, about the potential risks of drugs like Viagra.

The bill borrows language directly from Ohio's controversial "heartbeat bill," which bans abortions after the fetal heartbeat can be detected -- often before a woman even knows she's pregnant. But Turner said her bill is not just an answer to the heartbeat bill; she has been outraged by number of bills and amendments over the past couple of years, including a one recently proposed to ban physician assistants from placing or removing intrauterine devices (known as IUDs), a common form of birth control, based on the Republican sponsor's moral opposition to that method of contraception. . .

Oklahoma Sen. Constance Johnson, also a Democrat, proposed a "spilled semen" amendment to her state's "feel personhood" bill that would declare it an act against unborn children for men to waste sperm. Illinois state Rep. Kelly Cassidy, another Democrat, introduced an amendment to a state mandatory ultrasound bill that would require men to watch a graphic video about Viagra's side effects before being able to receive a prescription for it. A bill filed by Virginia state Sen. Janet Howell (D), would require men to obtain a rectal exam before obtaining such a prescription."

Viagra should be limited, by law, to one pill a month, prescribed only to married men who will swear an affidavit they are financially capable of raising a child for the next 18 years, to be used only in conjunction with their wives' monthly fertile period, and solely for sexual activity intended to result in pregnancy.

After reviewing the various "pro life" proposals for women seeking birth control or abortion, I'm sure that none of these proposed limitations will be viewed as any particular burden for men, under the time-honored goose-and-gander principle.

And I'm not cool with these bills being offered as a quid-pro-quo to offset anti-women's-choice legislation as it tends to present a false equivalency that legitimizes the anti-women crap. We don't need laws on the books regulating the health and sexual practices of men and women. We need to be overturning such laws that now exist.

Yes, cystoscopy (insertion of a cystoscope, which is a medical device inserted into the penis) should be required to make sure of the proper penile health before prescribing ED drugs. We need to make sure all of us men are properly informed as to the risks of these drugs! There could be a weakness in the structure that would make an erection dangerous. To those who say they already know that an erection is not dangerous to them, I say "Well.....just because the problem has not made itself evident does not mean that the next erection will be safely tolerated. We need to protect you, if not from us, then from yourselves."

The price of condoms should be made the same as birth control pills, to avoid discriminating against women, and it shall not be covered by insurance unless women's birth control methods are also covered.

Call this the Birth Control Equality Bill and make it the law of the land.

Mar 2012

You said it right.

Viagra has been a government/private industry approved drug, but let somebody stray outside and mess with a man's right to have an erection by whatever means necessary, all bets are off. Let me see if I have this right, gentlemen, you can make decisions for my body but your sex life, natural or pill induced, is your own business.

For many years now, almost since its introduction, Viagra has been an approved drug for Medicaid recipients. I know. I could not believe it either. Once again, the male ego and stupidity rules the halls of Congress. Supposedly, the drug was to be removed from the approved list for welfare recipients. I know, I know. It's prescribed for other ailments which Viagra supposedly helps. Of course, no doctor is going to put down a dummied-up reason for writing a prescription. Where was the Republican outcry, the churches wail of woe
the Catholic health plan, etc. in the Viagra debacle? Asleep at the wheel, boys?

For hundreds of years, women have begged for equality, screamed for it, to no avail. Men are still living in the Medieval Ages, and their adoring women are letting themselves be kept subservient.

So it's about time some rules are set for men. They should provide a copy of their lab work for all those male hormones that may be going awry, provide a copy of proof that they are not allergic to latex or any other ingredient which might be used in condoms, provide proof from your church that you are not forbidden to use birth control, and proof of marital status, so they don't go out and make any more of them sluts and prostitutes. Vasectomies are totally outlawed and shall be a felony committed by the recipient and the doctor, subject to harsh penalties.

And the list goes on. This may seem silly to some, but it could actually become a legitimate fight for equal rights.

52. Dear Mr. Man: According to federal law, The Commission has been informed by your Dr.
Thu Mar 15, 2012, 02:22 AM
Mar 2012

that you have requested a prescription for Viagra.

This postcard has been sent to you as an automatic response to that notification. Congratulations on becoming the newest member of The Viagra Database. Your name will be included in The Viagra Database regardless of the outcome of your request. Your stated support of Women's Rights bears no weight in this decision; You are a Man, therefore you suck.

As you may or may not know; The Commission was created to ensure that every male in The United States is made to pay for the transgressions of every OTHER male who has ever lived. That you carry a Broken X chromosome is of no consequence to The Commission.

Your participation in the War Against Women has all but been confirmed by the aforementioned request for Viagra.

After thorough investigation and assistance from the heroic organization known as Anonymous, it was discovered that you, on April 28 of last year, at 1:28 a.m., accessed an internet site whose sole purpose is the conveyance of pornography. This implies that you at least once in the last year have achieved an erection. This is another factor to be used as evidence of your participation in the War Against Women.

Further investigation has revealed that you were born in the same month, year, and county as another carrier of the Broken X chromosome who is currently using his elected position in an attempt to deny Women their rights. That you failed to strangle this elected carrier of the Broken X in his infancy and thus prevent his participation in the War Against Women is further evidence of your participation in the War Against Women. As you may know, you are either part of the solution or part of the problem. Your failure in this regard marks you as part of the problem.

The Commission has taken into account that you are a diabetic survivor of prostate cancer. It has been decided that if you hadn't eaten the types of foods cooked by the evil Janice Dean, you could have possibly avoided the diabetes.

Long story short; your request has been denied.

Should you disagree with this denial, please have this 11" x 18" postcard signed and notarized by 10 people whose participation in this process can be seen as neutral, place a neon yellow Viagra Request Stamp in the upper right hand corner of the postcard, and display it on the billboard whose location can be found at your local Post Office.

The Commission would like to offer you a small piece of advice: Lose the penis; It's been getting in the way for thousands of years and has only made things worse for the Human Race than they otherwise might have been. Besides, when The Commission finally perfects and implements the Sperm Extraction Device (see picture below), only enough Broken X carriers will be allowed to survive as is needed to sustain Zero Population Growth.

P.S. As federal law requires, The Commission has called your Wife in response to your request. She has informed The Commission that you STINK IN BED. For this reason, you've been placed in the STINKS IN BED Database as well.

Respectfully
The Commission
