I didn't fuck it up

I didn't cause this fucking deficit, old people who got sick didn't cause this deficit, hungry children whose homes were foreclosed on illegally didn't cause this fucking crisis, your damned war profiteering did, tax cuts for the super rich did, corporate welfare did.

I didn't wreck the economy, the fucking bankers did.

I honestly don't give a shit about "Shared Sacrifice" because I didn't fuck it up. I didn't crash the economy, neither did teachers or public union workers or anyone like that. The people who earn less now than their fathers did 30 years ago didn't fuck this up.

You know who fucked this up? The very, very rich people! The politicians who are OWNED by very, very rich people. You fucked this up, not me, so you need to go first on the "Let's sacrifice" diving board, because I am not in any position to sacrifice and you, dear rich people, have ALL THE FUCKING MONEY.

When people finally decide to stand up to the plutocracy, it will be one glorious day. I have nothing to share either, sorry but I didn't fuck things up. IF the wealthy that DID fuck things up think they are off the hook...well they probably are. We can clearly see that politicians care far more about the wealthy then they do the working poor.

This is the crux of the problem, and it happens by design.

We did none of this, but we are the ones they are coming for. We were looted. We are being systematically impoverished and enslaved.

Corporations have no loyalty except to the bottom line on the ledger. They have no compassion or empathy or sense of right and wrong or commitment to human welfare. They exist solely to make as much money as they possibly can. They are not human. And we have given them power over our lives and our children's lives.

People need to wake up to the deadly danger of ceding our government to corporations, because that is exactly what is happening, in both parties. They will squeeze us dry and then move on. Money comes from war, from blood, from looting one country after another, and creating a world in which we are all money spigots for them. And they are not even close to finished with us yet.

Occupy. It has never been more important.

The nearly 60,000,000 people who voted for George Bush were not rich

This is a simple fact

Americans are perfectly aware of how the Republicans behave in office and they asked for specifically that

We CAN make a difference by taking to the streets. I agree with George Carlin when he said "if voting really made a difference, it would be illegal."
Sadly, all of my adult life, I have voted, hoping to prove him wrong. It never worked.

RIP George.

A system where we don't vote? I don't see the point in cynicism over this. Our system has its flaws but there's none better. Educate the voters - get them to see it is serious, and they should think about the issues, not just look at slick ads and superficial characteristics. The superficiality is our problem, not our system.

31. You really do not see the problems with our unverifiable voting system?
Wed Mar 14, 2012, 03:45 PM

I have worked the polls and have witnessed irregularities. Peoples votes being switched right in front of their eyes..Until we have a verifiable voting system just like all other "civilized" countries (most countries period. computer or pencil), I think it is very naive to believe that your vote is counted as it should be. Diebold machines that can be hacked in seconds, "proprietary" voting system information that can not be released to the public, Diebold CEO's promising to deliver the votes to rethuglican candidates......Where were you in 2000? I was working a polling station, the only Democrat there, until they had me removed for questioning their actions in a small Indiana town...
I think "his alternative" was verifiable voting. Even a receipt that shows you who you voted for just in case there is a need for a recount.

You might have to get a different job, and that might make you poorer. Life is tough sometimes.

But what else do you do when you find that your employer is trying to use you, personally, to destroy exactly those things that you are holding a job in order to create and preserve for your kids or your future?
