Repuke Congressman: “we don’t need any more national parks in this country”

Rep. Cliff Stearns Wants To Sell Off Our National Parks

I got attacked in a previous town meeting for not supporting another national park in this country, a 200-mile trailway. And I told the man that we don’t need more national parks in this country, we need to actually sell off some of our national parks, and try and do what a normal family would do is — they wouldn’t ask Uncle Joe for a loan, they would sell their Cadillac, or they would take their kids out of private schools and put them into public schools to save to money instead of asking for their credit card to increase their debt ceiling.

Are the non-profits who give the smiley face for the corporations who want the land and water. It's privatization, the selling off of the last of the commons and keeping out the democratic process.

It's becoming harder to get a glimpse of the ocean or any natural beauty in some areas, no relief in nature for those who are not connected. This is not new but they're more open about it.

As far as they are concerned, everything in government should be handed over to their business friends. Their lackeys in the heartland say that only the deserving rich should have access to good land. Welcome to neo-feudal America.
