Militants in Afghanistan have launched an attack on a government delegation visiting the site where a US soldier killed 16 civilians.

Two of Afghan President Hamid Karzai's brothers and several top security officials were in the delegation in Panjwai in Kandahar province.

One Afghan soldier and three militants were killed, police said, and the delegation is heading back to Kandahar.

The US soldier said to have carried out Sunday's attacks is under arrest.

Didn't they hear the Secretary of State say the massacre "isn't who we are"? Gee whiz, just because we train our citizens to kill on command without remorse and send them all over the world with the most lethal armaments money can buy, these backwards savages get all bent out of shape when our military does precisely what it's designed to do. Besides, we're really good guys! And we'll thoroughly and fully investigate this incident, and something will happen. Or not.

Such a touchy bunch. Oh, and those "militants" just better watch their asses. Still a few missiles in our arsenal.
