1. The unemployed are just an abstraction to these two clowns.

Early last spring, I was riding the bus downtown (you wouldn't believe the conversations I've overheard this way), and two guys who knew each other got to talking. One asked the other about a mutual acquaintance of theirs, who apparently had been unemployed for some time. The other said he heard that the police had found the man in an alley one night over the winter, dead.

This is the reality of what people are going through. But that means nothing to the two doofuses in this toon and their cronies.

...is the scary one in this cartoon! The near death unemployed look less sinister.
