We've seen a number of stories like this over the years and they always seem to play out the same way. If you don't keep tabs on your dog (or leave it fenced or chained out while you aren't home), you're taking a risk for the same thing. The penalties aren't as heavy as, say, leaving a toddler in a playpen and having it snatched, but it is good to know they caught the bastards in this case.

Second, the dogs got out as an accident. One of the kids (5) opened the door and then dogs ran out. It happens.

But I do not see any Dalmatian mix in that dog. Looks like purebred pit bull to me.
