If nobody else has pointed this out...the 'protesters" in Thailand are the BAD guys...

the so-called "Yellow" movement is basically the movement of the urban rich, the military and the monarch and his lackeys. It exists solely to defend and expand the privileges of the already-privileged. The last time the "Yellows" were in power, all they did was line their pockets and leave the poor to rot.

The "Red" movement that currently holds a parliamentary majority after winning a free and fair election is the party of the rural poor. It has no strong ideology, but its objective is, more or less, to redress the massive imbalances in Thai society.

Remember that...and that will tell you what it will lead to if the "Yellow" types succeed in forcing out the current government.

This has nothing to do with "corruption&quot a term that has no real meaning in most of the world's politics). And it has nothing to do with "democracy".

It's about class...just class.

(sorry if somebody has already done a thread on this theme-I've been away from the 'Net for a week).
