News tonight said that maybe Afghanis are not reacting to the slaughter of 16 because

they have had 30 years of slaughter and are used to it, while the religious slap of burning the Korans was novel and so profoundly felt. What a nightmare to be afghani.

and it's not just afghans. but people in other countries who start riots and shit when something happens to the quron or some muhammed cartoon.

it's like here where people will get angry about something done to the american flag, leaving out God or some shit like that. but they don't give a shit about someone not being able to get health care or some other needs.

He may have known some of the soldier victims, he's been there long enough to have many friends. He could have been frustrated that the people they were protecting killed his buddies. Two can play that game. What happened to those who killed US soldiers?

of the Quran as compared to the 'more muted' reaction to these deaths today. He said that the Quran is part of the lives of every Afghan in every province and therefore affects the lives of all the people of Afghanistan. He said all Afghans 'live by the Quran' so when it is desecrated it affects every single person in the country.

This tragedy happened in one province and even though other provinces may react to some extent most of the reaction to events like this generally come from the province in which they happen. He is working with different tribes to try to bring about peace between all of them.
