Flying Into Outer Space
It seems like all sanity in this country is flying into outer space these days. When you think that something more ridiculous cannot come up it does. We know that Republican voters and candidates are certifiable for the rubber room. It is a worry that their sickness may be infecting the rest of the nation.
The WWII veterans' generation was one of the most educated generations in the world after WWII. Now that that generation is passing we seem to be growing into an idiocracy. When I see polls particularly in red states that believe Obama is a Moslem or that he is purposely raising gas prices I am stunned. When I see legislation proposed that will allow doctors to lie to women about their health, I wonder what the H is going on. So many things that are being accepted politically that if accepted individually a person would be in a mental hospital.
When I see Fox news almost applauding the massacre in Afghanistan implying a dead Moslem is a good one and there seems to be no backlash I am wondering if we are truly sick as a nation.
I dread all the hatred and vile that will come out in this election cycle. And if we are stupid enough to give the GOP back its power then we are truly finished.
