Romney could win if he campaigns to the Left of Obama after the Primaries:

The biggest "secret" of US politics is that we have a Liberal population serviced by two parties addicted to Corporate Cash.

If Romney presents himself AFTER the Primaries as a "Nixon opening China" Republican.....

Obama needs to tact hard Left NOW and take actions that would close this Left flank and show people it's real.

Hence my Best and Brightest thread:

So who is going to vote for him under such a scenario? He already has a hard enough time attracting enough Republicans, so he certainly isn't going to attract any more if he moves farther to the left. I suppose there might be a few Democrats stupid enough to believe he'll actually follow through with his campaign promises, but I don't suspect there will be many. Moderate Independents would be more likely to vote for Obama under that scenario.

Losing is bad enough, imagine losing plus losing on all your "issues" as well..

To the left of that is DU.

Anybody here ever going to vote for Romney?

Sorry, never going to happen. He'll campaign as McCain right/center - have a VP to the far right.

It's going to be 100% economy after they are done beating each other up. Romney the businessman, he's going to bring gas down to $1, and unemployment to 1%, and a 1% corporate tax rate.

It's the 1-1-1 plan. ROMNEY!
