if so that's pretty stupid, he should have known better than to say it on air.

If it was a personal comment that came out, that sucks. a lot of people say things in private they would never say in public.

If you never accept the premise that what you have done is wrong (republicans), you just move on, and quit answering questions about it.. Some re[publicans put forth a bullshit ,. quasi apology, that everyone knows is insincere, but when liberals apologize, they do it sincerely, which only opens them up for more scrutiny.

Bashir only needed to say he got a bit over-the top,and then just move on..

I think he felt that he had somehow shamed himself and his family, and the only honorable thing to do was to resign.. I wish he had not. He made whatever it was, worse by resigning, and limited his own future in broadcasting.

Joy is ready for the challenge (if it's offered to her) but it was nice to have someone on tv who was literate, erudite, and polished.

He chose to resign. I don't blame him. You go out with a little more dignity.

I think he'll find another perch somewhere that he is more appreciated.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/21/joe-scarborough-martin-bashir-sarah-palin_n_4315805.html

<snip>
Scarborough said he agreed with Bashir's apology. "I'm glad that he went out and said it, and I will guarantee you he didn't write all that by himself," he said. He added that he goes to the president of MSNBC when similar controversies happen.

"Every time something horrific is said like that, I go in and I talk to Phil Griffin, who I'm good friends with," Scarborough said. "And I say, Phil, this is unacceptable; either they apologize for it or I'm going to take it up myself. And I can tell you that didn't happen in this case, because I was in the middle of a book tour and I didn't even really hear about it until after Bashir's apology."

Bashir apologized on Monday, saying that his comments were "deeply offensive" and that they had "brought shame" to MSNBC.

that they can overlook something like that, a little more disturbing than someone saying something a little insulting, I'm sure that woman's family would agree.

Boycott MSNBC, it isn't hard, I have since Keith had to leave.

on MSNBC except Martin. The man has so much more class than others. I now fully believe the networks are owned by the political arms of the Republicans. Java Joe Scar should keep his mouth shut. I will always believe he had much to do with Olbermann leaving.
