If The Rs Are Planning On Stealing The Election, It Doesn't Matter How Many People They Piss Off

I've been wondering how the Rs expect to win in November when they are busy pissing off major voting groups like women, minorities and independents.

And then it hit me: if your plan revolves around disenfranchising minorities and the elderly through voter suppression, if you plan on your state organizations being as corrupt and as error-ridden in the general election as they have been in Republican primaries, if you have the SCOTUS in your back pocket and if you have the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson et al standing by ready to provide millions if not billions in financial support with which to launch legal challenge after legal challenge to any results that don't go your way, well, you might think that you can afford to piss off whoever you like, because - as the saying goes - the fix is in.

most polls will show that Republicans are way behind, except for Rassmussen he has a ten point difference in some polls. Maybe he is giving them some credibility. But, I never truest outliers. In any case exit polling shouldn't be too far off in too many places because if this is their plan people are going to see through it, by people I mean those that don't march in lock step with the Thugs. People will revolt, we have seen it just recently. I don't think they want any part of that.

But I also think they didn't expect everyone they pissed off to fight back.
I think they are wrong.

I have written several posts on this topic recently. I feel like you do. Why are they being so bold about ending Medicaid, Social Security, Medicare, child labor laws, minimum wage, contraception, divorce, many federal agencies, etc. The list goes on and some new regressive announcement comes out every day. And why are they so open about making religion a part of government?

The GOP is open about drug testing everyone who gets a dime from government. They even openly show that they will end taxes for the rich and corporations while raising taxes on the middle class and particularly the poor by taking away all their benefits. Anyone paying attention knows that the GOP health plans will leave 150,000,000 Americans without any health insurance or access if they end Medicare and Medicaide. Texas is already willing to add 130,000 poor women to the uninsured roles. And the GOP is open about letting GM go bankrupt as well as the cities and states. And the GOP is so openly racist and anti worker now it is not even funny.

The GOP should get smashed and come to an end with all the mayhem they say they will do.

So I am like you, what the heck is going on. I know our neoNazi Colorado Secretary of State wants to game the vote here.

with all the variables, we have the stage set for a dozen "Florida 2k's"... the voter suppresssion, the still broken machines, and whatever mischeif (machine shortages ect) that enable election fruad (as opposed to voter fraud).. not to mention the outright buying of the election with citizens united..

part of this we could have seen coming.. this voter fruad stuff went back to the U.S. attourney's scandal in 06 that was when the GOP tried to make the case for voter fruad, despite the lack of evidence , that theme has been been put forward and enabled by Alec, with the tea party republicans after the 10 elections..

i beleive the republican partys strategy is 2 fold.. first the Mitch Mc Connel slash and burn narrative (if we make the electorate miserable enough Obama will not be elected).. that isn't working as the economy is now in recovery.. failing that the only option they have is to appeal to the conservative base, using the culture war themes, and hatred..

the bad news is that this may work (after all who could have seen the twists of 2000, 2004..) as has been mentioned this time the theft of an election would put many folks in the street.. the good news for our side is that the changing demographics are in our favor.. it seems to me that teh latest efforts on teh culture wars, accomplish 2 things.. first they of course want to enact legislation while they have the strength, and where possible stay in power.. the other scanario is a group who's time has come to leave, fighting a rear guard action, in the face of demographic change the inevibably overwhelm them..
