Ken Ard Saga: An Affair, Too?
Seriously, people
is this the Jerry Springer State or what?
Mere hours after resigning his office in disgrace after a grand jury indicted him for a cash for contributions scam, former S.C. Lt. Gov. Ken Ard (RINO-Pamplico) is now dodging allegations that he had an extramarital affair with the woman who helped funnel money for the scam.
Rebecca Parker Elliott has long been employed by (Ard) in various capacities, the indictment against Ard notes before delving into the specific role that this Johnsonville, S.C. native allegedly played as the money-changer in Ards scheme.
But did Ard and Elliott his longtime secretary share more than just a plot to deceive voters into believing there was a groundswell of financial support for this Florence County Republican in Name Only? Multiple sources including those who worked on Ards 2010 campaign say yes.

(17,111 posts)The left oval was originally the front of the seal, and it has the first of our two state mottos on it: "Animis Opibusque Parati," which is Latin for "Prepared in Mind and Resources." The picture is of a palmetto tree and represents a battle victory against the British at present-day Fort Moultrie during the Revolutionary War.
The right oval was originally the reverse side of the seal, and it has our second state motto: "Dum Spiro Spero," which is Latin for "While I Breathe, I Hope."The picture on this side of the seal ties in with the motto, because the woman pictured is the Roman goddess Spes, who was the goddess of hope.

They should change it to "While I Breath, I F***"

(113,101 posts)speaking of it aloud is 'just not done' in SC. However, if they were Democrats, the same people nudging and winking over Graham and Brauer now would be screaming daily in front of every camera and mic they could find, bellowing about the dangers of having gays in government.

(32,095 posts)I love how, now that he's been caught, he's a "RINO". Remember how giddy the repugs were when they took every state office back in the 2010 election? Sorry, assholes. He's one of yours' whether you like it or not.
