The G.O.P.’s Health Reform Playbook or why the GOP does not want to get rid of ACA now

They are rebuilding their party and this is the only thing they have left, attacking ACA. To attack it, they need it around.

Of course, this tells us nothing of what they could try AFTER 2014, but at least until 2016, any change would be subject to veto.

So, let's take this for what it is: a propaganda tool, and let's answer the same way.

The last thing Republicans want right now is to repeal the Affordable Care Act.


They may claim it is destroying the country, but they need it, and desperately, to rebuild their party. They even have a detailed playbook to exploit it, carefully staging attacks against Democrats who support it in order to inflict maximum damage in the months before the 2014 midterm elections.


BTW, it is good to see the narrative change in the media.
