Cruz To CNN Anchor: Thanks For 'Trying To Lecture Me' On Obamacare (VIDEO)

An interview involving Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Wednesday turned testy when the subject shifted to the Affordable Care Act.

During an appearance on CNN's "New Day," Cruz repeated his call to "start over" on health care reform, arguing that the law simply "isn't working." Host Chris Cuomo pushed back on that contention.

"How can we say it's not working when it isn't implemented yet?" Cuomo asked. "How can you say premiums are skyrocketing when they haven't put the plans into effect yet? You’re being a little dangerous with how much political spin you put on something that’s so central to the wellbeing of so many families?"

"Well, I appreciate the adjective you tossed my way," Cruz shot back.

When Cruz said he's heard from "men and women across Texas" who have lost their health insurance as a result of Obamacare, Cuomo pressed the senator on what solutions he would offer to those people.

“You don’t think that you have a responsibility as a U.S. Senator to do better than that in terms of offering a solution on what to do next?” the host asked.

“Well, I appreciate you’re trying to lecture me in the morning," Cruz said. "Thank you for that.”

getting the opportunity to slap the shit out of that smarmy ivy league asshole and I'm not even a violent person.

I think it would be both personally cathartic and beneficial to society as a whole.

Chris Cuomo can't lecture Ted Cruz or ask him for details because he is beneath Ted. We are supposed to listen without question to his ranting talking points. Bush was to be worshiped and never questioned. Reagan is a deity. Meanwhile over in Democratic land we spend half the time lamenting our own elected officials because you know we can and should

I'm not surprised that the mainstream media keeps interviewing people like Cruz, because the Republicans are trying as hard as they can to make this mantra the truth about the ACA, and they will keep repeating their lies even after NEXT year's mid-term elections!!!

Mark my words, the Republicans will keep saying that ACA doesn't work . . even after millions of Americans have secured health care insurance for themselves for the first time in many, many years.

Remind him that he is from Canada and then ask him if perhaps the US should adopt a similar system because looking at the stats...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_total_health_expenditure_%28PPP%29_per_capita

(2010) Canada spends about half per capita on healthcare PLUS everyone is covered from birth to death for everything from a flu shot to a serious operation.

I'd be curious to see how he'd spin that one.
