This was found on a fantastic Facebook page, The Witty Liberal, and we feel it isnt getting the public attention that it deserves. It is time to stop the TeaBullies in their tracks. They behave like children, having hissy fits and being bullies, instead of trying to win an election on merit.
Here is what The Witty Liberal wrote:
To Ms. Wendy Davis and the supporters who run her website,
It has become obvious for weeks now that your website is infested with trolls, paid and sent by the Abbott campaign, to clog up all of the threads with insults and attacks.
Now they have taken it a step further: they are working together to exploit the Facebook software, to get Ms Davis real supporters thrown out of the site. Unless the sites admins step in and actively clear out these trolls, it will soon reach the point wherein there are more Abbot people than Davis people in the site. Its like a spreading tumor. Many of your strongest supporters have already been banned from the site, for no good reason.
We have made lengthy list of all the trolls who are attacking your site. Apparently the Texas Tea Party groups are organizing some of it, including the McAllen Tea Party, and of course the Facebook Tea Party and the National Tea Party. Other sites where the trolls organize include Do Not Tread On Us, Guardian Eagles, Restoring America Together, One Million to Defeat Obama, New Republican of Texas, Freedomworks, Conservative Daily, Breitbart, Oath Keepers, the NRA, the sites for Ted Cruz and DeMint and Gohmert, and a group with the unwieldy name of REPUBLICANS CONSERVATIVES -TEA PARTY PATRIOTS RIGHT WING AMERICANS.
The Facebook site is supposed to be a place where Texas voters can express their views on the coming race and on important issues, not a battle arena in which paid cyberhackers drive away everyone who disagrees with them. The site can be an important tool for electing the right candidate for governor of Texas, but the Davis campaign, having created the page, must actually manage it. You cant just create the Page, walk away, and let it manage itself. The site is yet another part of the campaign, a part of the battlefield you need to defend just like the rest of the battlefield.
