Big Government???? Ha! It's time we own that talking point.

I just got into it on another website about big government and how the 'libruls' want government to control every aspect of your life.

No no no. They teapublicans have it wrong.

It is them, not us, that wants a government so big that it controls what I do in my bedroom; invades my private parts and controls the conversation I have with my doctor.

Enough! We need to use this talking point against them.

Let's get one thing straight, once and for all: Republicans, conservatives, teabaggers, and freepers LOVE to be told what to do. They LOVE "Big Government" and Big Corporations and Big Religion telling them what to do, say, and think. They LOVE submitting to authoritarianism.

Big Government: "We will get into your bedrooms and your private lives!"
Big Corporations: "You will eat, drink, watch, and listen to what we want you to! You will buy what we tell you to!"
Big Religion: "You will do what my God says!"

5. Daddy State Republicans

I always counter the wingnut "Nanny state" meme by calling out the repukes on their authoritarian, big government, Daddy State tendencies. They have become the party of old, white guys who think they should be allowed to legislate morality. The far right wants the Government involved in everything (except business/corporate practices.) Their complaints about big government are laughable.
