In our age of micro targeting potential voters, it is more likely that any given race with 2 somewhat equal candidates will result in razor thin margins.

officeholders aren't any different from republicans and are just a slightly different flavor of corporatist (their word, not mine). No claim could be farther from the truth and if the last 3+ years haven't drilled that gaping difference into people's fucking skulls, I don't know what will.

... it was really disheartening how many women wouldn't/couldn't register because "their husbands voted for them". And on more than one occasion it was the husband who said that. Sigh.

Most times, to figure the jerks out, all you have to do is take what they (the Republicons) say and turn it around. There you will find the truth. I'm going to remember this and whip it out when I bump into one of those lost non-voting souls again.
