Former President George W. Bush makes a high profile re-appearance in public next week, an interview on NBC's Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Bush's gig Tuesday will be his fourth on The Tonight Show, the first since he promoted his memoir in 2010.
"President Bush is going to be in the (Los Angeles) area Tuesday and was glad to be invited back one last time," said the ex-president's spokesman Freddy Ford.
Ford said Bush is also "looking forward to congratulating Jay on hosting The Tonight Show for more than two decades."
Jimmy Fallon takes the helm next year.
The 43rd president has been low key since leaving office on Jan. 20, 2009, and said little or nothing about successor Barack Obama.
It will be interesting to see if that changes on Tuesday.
In announcing Bush's appearance, NBC said:
" Bush will) be discussing life after the White House.
"The 43rd president has not been seen much in public since his 2009 exit from office, but he began raising his profile in July when he urged Congress to reach a 'positive resolution' on immigration reform, and appeared with President Barack Obama at a ceremony to remember victims of terrorism.
"President Obama last appeared on The Tonight Show in August. It was his sixth visit. First Lady Michelle Obama stopped by in 2012."
May-be he'll show his personal artwork.

(39,343 posts)Leno is the Presidential equivalent of the Shrub. If Shrub were a late night talk host, he'd be Leno.
I hope the morons enjoy their time together.

(16,993 posts)Never want to see Bush again unless it's at a trial for war crimes. Don't ever watch Jay Leno because he seems like a major right winger.
I'll let my fellow DUers with a stronger stomach watch and give those of us who don't a recap.
Please let us know about his appearance, and may the force be with you!
